Can eating fast foods cause acne?
I am a 17 year old teen and suffer from recurring acne. My mother tells me to cut out on fast foods to treat acne. Will it help? Does fast food cause acne?

The answer to this question is maybe. Numerous studies have linked a Western diet (i.e. junk food) to high prevalence of acne. Specifically, both foods with lots of sugar (those with a high glycemic load) and dairy products might lead to more acne.
Some people say their acne gets better when they cut back on dairy, or when they eat foods that don't spike their blood sugar level, but no particular foods are proven to cause acne. It's a good idea to eat plenty of fruits and vegetables and limit sugary foods that don't offer your skin much nutrition.
