Half of the women have back pain while pregnant, but the discomfort is not so common during delivery. Those who are physical active during pregnancy term can control back pain to some extent.Pregnant women's bones soften and their ligaments loosen during pregnancy. It's a preparation for birth. This the reason for back pain during pregnancy and delivery.

I believe it is because your muscles around the area are what are being stressed to an extreme at the time of delivery. So, I guess it is fine to experience it. If you are extremely worried about the same, you an talk to your doctor about your concern and derive an appropriate conclusion.
