A molar pregnancy is caused by abnormal genetic makeup of the egg or sperm causing abnormal placental development. There are two types of molar pregnancies: partial and complete. In the partial molar pregnancies rarely a baby could be born prematurely, otherwise the pregnancy needs to be aborted early due to the complications of excessive vomiting, high blood pressure or poor growth of the baby. Women need to be given an anticancer drug to manage this pregnancy and should keep a gap of at least three months for the next pregnancy.
I don't think all the women who have a partial molar pregnancy end up aborting their babies. There could be some form of treatment available? You should check with your doctor before you decide anything.
