Strictly speaking, sexual addiction could be defined as progressive intimacy disorder characterized by compulsive sexual thoughts and acts. Means you are always 'doing it' or thinking of 'doing it'. And let me start by saying that it is not exactly a very healthy habit to have, most sex offenders are sex addicts at first. The most important trait of a sex addict is that he or she almost always extracts a sexual meaning out of something. Even worse, there could be negative impacts on the addict and others due to such a behaviour, but this is not taken into regard. A sex addict is by all means oblivious to his surroundings and is most concerned about being at peace in the way he or she loves the most. For a sex addict such a behaviour starts early in life and takes steep turns with age, finally this could result in dire consequences and matters may turn ugly. The best way to keep it at bay is to go for counselling and getting treated.
